have to agree with Slanty on this one, although interesting 8+ weeks is just painfully long.

Funnily I saw this and the Jclass as "The race Season", Anticipated at the start, fun all the way through, and happy its over for a while at the end.

I totally agree.

We worked hard on One World for those many weeks and we had a blast!

Now it's back to leisurely cruising until the next big one.

(I'll meet you at the dock, Baby:)

... blissfully unaware and ignorant of countless club races throughout the comunity, and at the same time dismissing all the hard work put in by countless clubs, race directors and racers. Suzi, under which rock are you hiding when there isn't one of the major spectacles disrupting the normal racing season? J-Classics, One World, Fizz Cup, AC Cup, those are fun events and I'm proud and happy I was part in some of them but still they are freak shows, once off by-products, cherries on the cake. They are not what we usually do, day in day out. Quite contrary, the damage OW caused to the schedule will still be perceptible for quite some time.

What is "the schedule" ?
Orca, i suspect you are jealous for some reason... you could use your loudspeaker for one event only, out of nine.

There are many, many people I need to thank for all their efforts with ONE WORLD.
The regatta ended up bigger than I anticipated,
but it ended up much more fun than I expected, too. :-)

It will take me several articles to write my way through all this,
and appropriately thank everyone, so please have some patience. :-)
I posted initial comments on Metaverse,
but yikes, I actually don't even talk about sailing in that article! :-)

With that schedule, dear Bunnie, I mean the roundabout 9382413 weekly events listed in the SLSA aggravated calendar (or whatever it's called) which took a heavy blow by the OW.
And don't worry about my loudmou... uh, speaker, for I use it quite regularly about 4 times each week. Sometimes when I'm home alone I even stand in front of the mirror and shout at myself with it. 8)
