RaceLine feature

Where may we find more information regarding this feature? I couldn't find information in the "help" notecard.
What lines are concerned by this feature? so far and at term (general update of Hay's line?)
Who may set this notecard (for each line)? Who may change it? What about lines installed on Linden Water?
What is the process if it happens a line is locked with this feature?

This is a new Hay line we used for OW round one in Sailors Cove. Hay replaced the lines with “ general use lines” after the regatta. For more information ask Hay.

Another great feature was the rotation of the line. Not sure where this stands via a vis production. I gather it would not work in linden water either without ll cooperation.

Oh, i just discovered this post....
When the OW cup started i though it would be nice for the RD's to ensure nobody could 'mess' with the raceline while an important race event was going on.
Basicly, when your name is on the notecard you can acces the menu and operate the line, if not you'd get a message containing the list of people who had acces.
This was a new temporary feature meant for the OW duration only.
btw. the one who owns the line would be the only one to be able to change the notecard, or else the system would not work and everybody could still change it.
It was only used in 2 rounds tho, i guess that means that it isnt a problem that a random person could reset the race at any giving moment.

Offcourse when a race is started the line is locked by the one who started that race.
While it is locked noone can operate it, except for the one who locked it.
But due to a very old discussion, i had to make a locking bypass in the case the raceline operator (who locked the line) was crashed offline and could not come back to operate it anymore...
Also, a griefer could set the lock to 1,5 hour...go away and ruin the race event.
Basicly the locking mechanism had to have the ability to be turned off.
When the raceline is unlocked, the one who locked it will recieve a message containing the name of the one who unlocked it.

So in more 'important' race events i thought it would be nice to prevent someone disturbing the race this way.
I agree that this wont work in Linden water.
Controlling the list would be an impossible task.
But for some events only a race committee could be set to have acces.

The rotating thing btw is a real fun feature...
Currently it is setup in the 'Plum Gut' sim.
In short it means anyone can rotate the raceline in any given direction by some clicks on the menu...
Offcourse this means that the buoys, windsetter and mapgiver had to rotate and move along with the current line angle.
...would look silly if the buoys are not placed at the raceline's edges :D

So when you place such a line on lindenland (like blake sea) where a very small strip is available to rezz stuff, it could be that when you have rotated the line at a certain angle, that the buoys would not be over the small strip of land anymore....and autoreturn would kick in and makes you loose the buoys....along with windsetter, mapgiver etc...
...also i didnt script a solution in the event when the buoys are crossing sim lines while rotating...

This feature can be made available for everyone who is interested tho, if needed...
