Sailing for the Gold
“Sailing for Life 2008” was a huge success this year, thanks to the generosity and compassion of each and every sailor in the SLSailing community. Our combined effort raised nearly $L1.1Million for Cancer Research across many events sponsored by yacht clubs and sailing groups during the past two months, culminating in the final Sailing for Life HEROES event this past weekend.
A loud WOOT goes to Nber Medici, who lead the Sailing for Life team this year.
On behalf of the SLSailing Community, today Nber accepted the Relay for Life GOLD PRIZE for “Most Inventive Campsite Fundraising!!”
Copies of the award will go to all the sailing groups; however, if you can’t wait, stop by Starboards Yacht Club today… and be proud.
The sailors of SL came together this summer… and accomplished something pretty wonderful.
